Thailand's Case: French hostilities towards Thailand 1940/1941
Thailand's Case is a study of the territories Thailand lost to France by the nationalist Luang Vichitr Vadakarn originally published in 1941. He was a political actor and tried his best to improve relations with the French in Indochina. Educated in France he knew the French culture from the inside. He points out the lack of interest of the French to improve good relations. He wanted a fair relationship and not a one sided one.  This is much more than a historical analysis. His importance even today is the promotion of Thai values and culture, whatever that may mean. This inside knowledge made him realizing that Thailand's survival as a nation depended on promoting education and culture. In hindsight with the knowledge we have today we can see his far sided thinking as a nationalist. At that time the threat was only colonialism, which only exploited but left the people alone. But in the modern world where the Neocons=Globalists reign, who based their philosophy on Trotsky, it can be deadly for all nation states as the aim is to destroy nation states, religion, family values as well as all values our culture and try to replace it with nihilism. This thinking is supported by Milton Friedman's shareholder value system, which disregard humanity and promotes money as the new God. All this Luang Vichitr have not known. But his promotion of traditional and other values labeled as ' Thai values' made him a far sighted thinker. It made promoting of culture very relevant in all countries and cultures. For sure it has nothing to do with: 'My culture is better than yours'. We borrow and learn from each other and should respect our neighbors
